How this URL shortener works
Paste any long link, optionally set a custom alias instead of a random code, and click "Shorten URL". Your short link will redirect to the original URL whenever someone opens it, and — unlike the file tools on this site — short links do not expire or get automatically deleted, since they're meant to keep working over time. Short links use this site's own domain rather than a separate short-link service.
