What is OopsEdit?

OopsEdit is an independent online tools website built to make everyday digital tasks easier. Whether you need to merge PDF files, resize an image, count words, convert file formats or generate a strong password, the goal is simple: open the right tool, complete the task and continue with your work.

Many common file and text tasks can otherwise require separate software, account registration or a complicated workflow. OopsEdit aims to offer a straightforward alternative with clear controls, practical instructions and tools that work on desktop and mobile browsers.

How we handle files and text

Browser-based tools

Some tools, such as the Word Counter, Text Case Converter and Password Generator, process input directly in your browser. Text and generated passwords are not uploaded to the OopsEdit server by those tools.

File-processing tools

Tools that convert, merge, split, resize or compress files may temporarily upload files to the server so the requested task can be completed.

Automatic cleanup

Temporary uploaded files and generated output files are designed to be automatically removed after approximately 30 minutes. Where available, users can also delete generated output files manually.
